How to join us
If you would like to join us on a walk to experience what it is all about, please take a look at the Walking Programme and choose from one of the many walks you would like to accompany us on.
We are more than happy to allow anyone to attend as a "guest" to the Society without becoming a member immediately. Guests are charged a nominal free of £1 which for insurance purposes only.
Annual member subscriptions are currently only £10 per person. You can submit your subs at the end of the first walk, or make a BACs payment into our account or agree to write a cheque to the treasurer (payable to Morpeth Footpaths Society)
All subsequent walks throughout the year are free of charge which is fantastic value! Please see; More information at how to pay your subs
All walks are led by an MFS member who has checked the route in the week or so beforehand to ensure it is safe to do. Our programme is generally shorter routes in the Winter. The website us updated with the years walking programme and our members Facebook page is used to keep everyone up to date with any changes to the programme and other information.
In general you don't have to be super fit to do one of our walks, but the terrain and length of walks does sometimes involve moderate difficulty. If you do have any health problems, it is important that you make these known to the walk leader in confidence, to ensure not only your own health & safety, but that of other members of the group.
Please Note: Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs to accompany members or guests on our walks.
